Reference drawing

To paste a link to a reference drawing in DWG or DXF format into a model, you need to use the Paste Link... command.

To insert a reference drawing to a model:

  1. In the 3D View, Assembly style or Level tab on the Primary panel, select the Paste Paste link...
  2. Select a file and click Open.
  3. Set reference drawing parameters:

    Reference drawing position relative to axis. Each option on the drop-down list shows how the reference drawing will be located relative to the insertion point.

    Reference drawing horizontal offset. X axis offset relative to insertion point of reference drawing. Can be negative.

    Reference drawing vertical offset. Y axis offset relative to insertion point of reference drawing. Can be negative.

    Link name. Displays the link name defined in Links editor.

    Level. Determines the reference drawing level.

    Vertical offset. Determines the vertical offset of a reference drawing relatively to the insertion point.

    Scale.

    Reference drawing rotation angle.

  4. Specify the insertion point.

The parameters may be modified both in the construction and editing process. Press Enter to fix the parameter values.

All the universal operations are available when working with reference drawings. In order to modify, copy or move reference drawing, select it with the Select tool.

All reference drawings that are pasted into the project are displayed in the Links editor. To manage links, use Manage styles Links on the Primary panel.

To import data from a DWG or DXF file to Renga, use the Insert From... command.
